As a member or subscriber of Costa Rica Expertise, we may hold the following personal information:

  • Your Email Address
  • Your Name (if provided)
  • Your Subscription Status and billing information (if you are a paid member)

We also collect anonymized or pseudonymized data via third-party services like Google Analytics for traffic analysis. This data is not personally identifiable and therefore cannot be deleted on an individual basis.

2. How to Request Data Deletion

You have the right to request the permanent deletion of your personal data from our systems at any time. To do so, please follow these steps:

Step 1: Submit Your Request

Send an email to info@costaricaexpertise.net from the email address associated with your member account. Please use the following subject line:

Step 2: Identity Verification

To protect your privacy and prevent fraudulent requests, we must verify your identity. We will send a confirmation email to the address on file. You must reply to this email to confirm your request.

Step 3: The Deletion Process

Once your identity is verified, we will proceed with the deletion process.

  • We will permanently delete your member account and all associated personal data (name, email) from our Ghost database.
  • This process will be completed within 30 days of your verified request.
  • We will send you a final confirmation email once the deletion is complete.

3. Consequences of Data Deletion

Please be aware that deleting your data is an irreversible process. The consequences include:

  • You will lose access to all member-only content on the Site.
  • You will be permanently removed from our newsletter mailing list.
  • If you wish to re-join our community in the future, you will need to sign up again with a new account.
